2 killed when car smashes into Florida strip mall, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Two people were killed late Thursday when a car crashed into a Kissimmee shopping center, reports CBS Orlando affiliate WKMG-TV.

The driver lost control and slammed into the building, police said.

Police said there were at least five passengers in the car.

One of the victims died at the scene and the second was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Family and friends of the victims told WKMG that the two who died were a boyfriend and girlfriend on their way home from soccer practice.

Their ages have not been released but family friends said everyone in the car was a teenager.
