14-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed Grandfather, 73, Say Calif. Cops

LOS ANGELES (CBS/KCAL) A 14-year-old Pomona boy was arrested Tuesday and charged with stabbing his 73-year-old grandfather to death.

Sheriff's deputies detained the boy in a local bar. He was reportedly armed with a knife and told deputies that he had harmed his grandfather, Bruno Rodriguez.

According to CBS affiliate KCAL, deputies and Pomona police went to the boy's home to check on the grandfather's condition and found him dead.

The boy was taken to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall where he was booked for homicide.

A knife believed to have been used in the stabbing was recovered.
