(CBS/AP) AIKEN, S.C. - A 10-year-old boy pulled a 9mm handgun on a woman after she joked about taking candy from him as he was trick-or-treating.

The 28-year-old woman told police she went up to some kids she recognized and joked she was going to take their candy.

Aiken Public Safety Lt. David Turno says the 10-year-old exclaimed, ""no you're not b***h!," and pointed the gun at her.

ABC affiliate WJBF also reports that the boy started cursing as he held the gun.

Meanwhile, another child claimed to have a gun as well but never revealed it.

The 10-year-old's gun was reportedly not loaded, but the youngster had a clip of ammunition on him. He was immediately  taken to the police station to be handed over to his parents.

Captain MaryAnn Burgess of the Aiken Department of Public Safety's Juvenile Division said, "There have been some tragic consequences to some of these cases in the past. Thankfully, this one did not end up in a tragedy, so we're thankful that she called. We'll be looking at their family situation to make sure we don't have any more situations of this magnitude with these little boys."

Turno said the boy's brother told police he, too, had a gun. Authorities confiscated both weapons. Apparently, the boys stole them from their grandfather without his knowledge.
