Minnesota Couple Spends Year In Boundary Waters Wilderness
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the past year, Dave and Amy Freeman, of Ely, have been on a journey through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
They just ended their "Year in the Wilderness" a week ago Friday.
They are also writing a book about their experiences camping, canoeing, walking, skiing and snowshoeing through the Boundary Waters.
The Freemans did this because they are concerned about the proposed sulfide-ore copper mining just outside the BWCA.
