Police: Missing Man With Alzheimer's Found

Update: Darryl Ekstrom has been located in St. Paul by St. Paul Police. He was reported to be in good condition.

CRYSTAL, Minn. (WCCO) – The Crystal Police Department is asking for the public's help in trying to find an adult man with Alzheimer's Disease who has gone missing.

Darryl Phillip Ekstrom, 67, was last seen at around 4 p.m. Tuesday riding a white bicycle near his residence. Police responded to the 6000 block of Medicine Lake Road at about 9 p.m. on a report that he was missing.

Authorities say he is a white male about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He has thinning grey hair and a scar on his left forearm that's about three or four inches long.

He was last seen wearing a mint green T-shirt with the word "Handball" on the back, dark colored shorts, dark silver shoes with a green stripe, white socks and a white baseball cap with the word "Alta" on the front. Police said Ekstrom may also answer to the nickname "Boots."

Ekstrom suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and is known to talk frequently about visiting Wheeler Park in Duluth. Anyone with information about Ekstrom is asked to call Crystal Police at (763) 525-6215.
