Minn. House Approves Series Of Gun Rights Bills

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota House approved Thursday a series of gun rights bills, including one that allows legal gun permit holders to automatically carry guns inside and around the Capitol building.

Another bill legalizes gun silencers, which are also known as suppressors.

"These devices were invented back in 1902 by the same gentleman that invented the muffler for a car," said Rep. Mark Anderson, (R-Lake Shore). "There's the link to this whole thing. All these suppressors are is just a muffler."

The House also passed a bill banning government officials from confiscating personal weapons during natural disasters.
