White House honors Diana for her charitable work

Throughout her adult life, Princess Diana was tied to numerous charities. In 1996, Diana was the guest of honor during a breakfast at the White House thrown by Hillary Clinton in support of the Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research. Other honorees included former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, clothing designer Ralph Lauren and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
