Homes with amazing outdoor spaces

Realtor.com

If you're looking for a home that marries modern interior design with amazing outdoor space, these houses are for you.

Of course many of these homes come with multi-million dollar price tags, but for the average homeowner, there are a lot of nice outdoor design features you can install in your backyard that will let you entertain and enjoy the outdoors in similar fashion.

"Now that it's summertime, we've got a greater portion of the country that is focused on being outdoors," said Jennifer DuBois, director of communications at Realtor.com. "People are looking to extend their homes by adding a table and chairs and some outdoor furniture."

Outdoor additions should be an extension of a home's style and design. They don't have to be elaborate - a fire pit can often add more value than a full outdoor kitchen - but they should create an inviting space where people want to be.
