State fire marshal says firefighters battle Hughes and Sepulveda Pass fires overnight

State Fire Marshal Chief Daniel Berlant said crews were able to use water-dropping aircraft overnight to battle the Hughes and Sepulveda fires. Winds are expected to pick up during the day, but Berlant feels they have good resources ready to go.
