California to pay $24 million settlement to family of Burbank man who died in police custody

The State of California has settled with the family of Edward Bronstein, the Burbank man who died in police custody in 2020 while he was being restrained by multiple officers. They will pay $24 million, the second largest civil rights settlement next to what Minneapolis paid in the George Floyd case.
