Firefighters reported the fire was knocked down just after 5 p.m.
Malibu and County Fire crews were called to the scene Mulholland Highway and Canyon Drive at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after authorities say a vehicle fire spread to the brush.
A department spokesperson told CBS2/KCAL9 personnel were dispatched to the 3100 block of South Coldwater Canyon at Mulholland Drive at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday.
