Michael Avenatti was taken into custody by Los Angeles police Wednesday following a domestic abuse allegation, a law enforcement official said.
The alleged assaults took place over multiple days. The victim told officials she was able to flee the residence when Aaron Hancock eventually fell asleep.
The 30-year-old suspect was declared dead after being transported to the hospital.
