Which Airlines Rank The Highest For On-Time Arrivals?

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The stress of flying, no doubt, can be exacerbated when flights aren't on schedule.

Well, that begs the question: which airlines rank the highest for on-time arrivals?

The U.S. Department of Transportation Thursday said that Hawaiian Airlines had the best on-time performance followed by Alaska Airlines in second place and Delta Air Lines in third.

The rankings were compiled by looking at on-time performance for the month of December.

Coming in at the bottom of the list were Virgin America, JetBlue Airways, and Spirit Airlines.

The feds consider a flight on-time if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled time.
