UCLA Grad Dies After Being Struck By Taxi In Santa Monica
SANTA MONICA (CBS) — Police say a 24-year-old woman has died after being struck by a taxi on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica over the weekend.
Melissa Del-Aguila recently graduated from UCLA, Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis said. She was at a bar before being struck at 2:30 a.m. near Douglas Park.
Witnesses say she ran into the street, possibly to hail the cab, and was fatally struck in a westbound lane.
Del-Aguila was taken to a hospital but later died.
