Temecula Suspects Arrested In Murder Of Aspiring Rapper

RIVERSIDE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Two Temecula residents were in custody Saturday for their alleged involvement in the murder of an aspiring rapper.

According to officials, 22-year-old Eligha Everett was arrested for homicide on Friday after a warrant was severed in the 29000 block of Stonewood Road in Temecula by the Riverside County Sheriff's SWAT Team.

Leah Nolan, 22, was arrested for aiding and harboring a criminal following a search warrant Friday served in the 1400 block of North Sepulveda Avenue by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's SWAT team, authorities said.

Just after 10 a.m. on Sept. 22, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to a report of gunfire and a man down in the Portafino Apartments located in the 29900 block of Rancho California Road.

Once on scene, officers found a male victim, 24-year-old Justin Triplett, suffering from gunshot wounds in his doorway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Everett is being held on $1 million, while Nolan is being held on $500,000, according to police records.
