Subway Employees Star-Struck As Brad And Angelina Stop Into Glendale Chain

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Subway employees in Glendale got an unexpected celebrity sighting over the weekend — when Brad Pitt and Angelina dropped in for a low-key lunch with their children.

The Subway at Glendale Avenue and Chevy Chase Drive is suddenly getting a lot of buzz, not for their sandwiches, but for the surprise star sightings.

"My co-worker went to the back to tell my manager, 'Did you see who's in the front?' And she was like, 'No.' She was like, 'It's Angelina and Brad Pitt!' She's like, 'Is it really them?' " Subway employee Grisell Gonzalez said.

CBS2/KCAL9 obtained pictures of the pair visiting the restaurant.

Gonzalez says Jolie told her manager they were out having a family day.

"I guess they were coming from the Toys R Us ... they just happened to stop by here," she said. "They ordered two meatballs, one teriyaki and four kids meals."

But the food wasn't the only thing heating up.

"They were very, like, hugging and kissing and they looked like they were really in love and everything," she said.

Gonzalez told CBS2/KCAL9 all of the employees were impressed by how nice and normal the couple was.

"He came driving his own car ... no security nothing like that. It was pretty cool they came to eat here instead of somewhere expensive," she said.

The family's bill came out to be around $44. The manager says Pitt handed them $50 and told the star-struck employees to keep the change.
