Sub-Freezing Temperatures Linger Across Southern California

LOS ANGELES ( — Sub-freezing temperatures lingered Thursday amid a cold, dry air mass that swept across Southern California.

According to the National Weather Service, a freeze warning will remain in effect until 9 a.m. in the Antelope Valley.

Temperatures are expected to reach the low 60s in this area.

Authorities advised the public to bring animals and plants inside during low temperatures as conditions can pose a threat. Farm animals should be brought inside of a barn during cold conditions.

Elsewhere, highs are expected to range from low to mid 70s under partly cloudy skies.

A freeze watch has been issued for the Antelope Valley until Friday morning.
