Strong Winds, Falling Trees Cause Damage Across L.A.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — All across Southern California, the steady hum of chainsaws and front loaders will be heard over the next several days after severe winds and falling trees have caused tremendous amounts of damage.

The Public Works department says it got about 80 calls of trees coming down just since Thursday night.

The city of West Hollywood says if a tree falls on your property, you can call the facilities division at the Public Works department to file a claim.

In Los Angeles, the city's website has online forms for you to potentially get your money back for repairs caused by the winds or falling trees.
