Southwest Plane Bound For Ontario Makes Emergency Landing After Bird Strike
SACRAMENTO (CBS) — A Southwest plane was forced to make an emergency landing after it was struck by birds shortly after takeoff Wednesday morning.
Flight 1146, which was heading to Ontario, returned to Sacramento International Airport without incident at 6:21 a.m.
The airline was working to accommodate the 25 passengers who were aboard the plane. None of them were injured.
Wednesday's incident was the second emergency landing made by a Southwest plane in less than 24 hours at Sacramento International Airport.
