Sex Offender Found Masturbating Outside South Pasadena Apartment

SOUTH PASADENA (AP) — A paroled sex offender has been arrested after he was found nude and masturbating outside a South Pasadena apartment building.

Police say 47-year-old Edward Valdivia, a convicted sex offender and parole, was booked Thursday afternoon for investigation of indecent exposure and violating parole. He's being held without bail.

The Pasadena Star-News says Valdivia lived at the apartment building, which is owned by his father.

South Pasadena police say in a news release that a woman called police shortly after 1 p.m. to report a nude man was masturbating while sitting on the apartment house steps.
