Several People Injured After Metrolink Train Hits Car In Burbank

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Several people have been injured after a car was nearly flattened by a Metrolink train Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at Buena Vista and San Fernando roads, just north of the Burbank Metrolink station, about 3:15 p.m., according to a fire dispatcher. The southbound train, scheduled to arrive at Burbank Station about 3:10 p.m., came to a stop at Lincoln, and both directions of the tracks have been closed.

The driver of the vehicle was injured and taken to a hospital. Three of the passengers on the train reported minor injuries.

Service on the Antelope Valley line, between Los Angeles Union Station and Santa Clarita, has been canceled until further notice.
