Riverside Man Pleads Not Guilty To Threatening To Kill FBI Agent
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Riverside County man has pleaded not guilty to a federal charge of threatening to kill an FBI agent.
FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller says 55-year-old Clay Triolo entered the plea Monday.
A federal grand jury indictment alleges that the Cathedral City man left a telephone message on or about Nov. 16, in which he threatened to kill an FBI agent. The agent was not named.
Federal prosecutors say Triolo was sent to a residential treatment center for substance abuse after making his first court appearance two weeks ago.
He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. A trial in Los Angeles is set to begin April 19.
