Report: SoCal Edison To Lay Off Hundreds Of Employees

ROSEMEAD (CBSLA.com) — Southern California Edison announced Tuesday that it plans to layoff hundreds of employees in an effort to streamline management, the LA Times reported.

The utility plans to cut 500 in-house employees and another 400 to 500 contract workers starting this summer, with most cuts affecting its Irwindale office.

All employees slated to be laid off are non-union workers, the Times reported.
