Public's Help Sought In Identifying Suspect Vehicle Involved In Long Beach Hit-And-Run
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Long Beach police Wednesday were seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that critically injured a 43-year-old woman.
The collision took place Nov. 22 at 5:39 p.m. on South Street near Ackerfield Avenue, police said.
Sandra Davis reportedly was crossing South Street, not in a crosswalk or intersection, when she was struck by a small, older model, light tan or beige-colored Altima-style vehicle, according to witnesses.
The suspect braked momentarily, indicating to police the driver was aware of the collision, before fleeing the scene.
Davis was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where she remains in critical condition, officials said.
