Power Outage Cuts Electricity To 2,100 In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA) — A reported 2,100 customers were without power in the Santa Clarita area Monday night.

According to Southern California Edison, the power outage happened around 7:45 p.m. with roughly 7,000 customers losing power. Approximately 20 minutes later, 4,800 customers had their power back.

SoCal Edison was working to get power restored, and initially estimated it would be back on for everyone by 7 a.m. Tuesday.

The company has since revised its estimate to midnight.

The cause for the outage was not immediately known.
