LAPD: Sex Assault Suspect Targets Aspiring Male Models
LOS FELIZ (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday sought additional victims of a 34-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting at least two males.
On the morning of Sept. 24, John Everett Perry approached a 15-year-old boy in Los Feliz and asked him if he was interested in modeling, Los Angeles police said.
"When the victim expressed an interest, Perry lured him into his vehicle, where he sexually assaulted him," police said.
Approximately 45 minutes later, Perry approached a second male victim inside a Starbucks located in the 2900 block of Los Feliz Boulevard.
"n this incident, Perry represented himself as a fashion photographer and lured the victim to a nearby bathroom, where he sexually assaulted him," authorities said.
Both incidents were reported to police and Perry was arrested the next day in the Palm Springs area, according to officials.
"He approached some very young men. Obviously one of the common things was that he was very approachable, very friendly he was very easily befriended and he used modeling as a very easy rouse for these young men," Det. Michelle Gomez said.
Perry posted bond and was released from custody Friday.
Anyone who believes they may be a potential victim of Perry's should call the LAPD at (323)344-5742.
