Police: Man Shot At While Walking In Maywood
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officials transported a male victim Saturday that was shot at while walking on the streets in Maywood.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, crews were sent around 11:10 a.m. to the 5400 block of South Atlantic Boulevard for reports of a shooting.
The victim reported he was walking down 55th Street and Pine Avenue when he heard popping sounds. The victim then realized he had been shot and walked about a block to the Maywood Inn, officer said.
Authorities transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries.
His condition is unknown at this time.
No description was provided for a suspect accused in the crime.
The motive for the shooting is being investigated.
