Pink Pump Event To Honor And Celebrate Local Women
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The 6th annual Pink Pump event returns to Beverly Hills this weekend.
Areva Martin, Founder of the Special Needs Network, visited KCAL9 Monday to talk about the event, which celebrates women and their contributions to the LA community.
CBS2/KCAL9 are media sponsors and Pat Harvey will emcee the celebration held at the Montage on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The event includes a fashion show by designer Sue Wong.
The proceeds of the event are used to defray the cost of Camp JPAC. Camp JPAC is the only fully inclusion camp in LA for kids with autism and their siblings. Camp includes academics, sports, drama, music and dance for kids ages 5 to 16. The camp is free and provides lunch, snacks and field trips.
