Photograph Of Breastfeeding Military Moms In Uniform Goes Viral

Active duty soldiers struck a pose in a photograph that's since gone viral.

The picture depicts ten military moms in camouflage uniforms and shows them breastfeeding their babies.

The picture was taken by Texas-based photographer Tara Ruby.

It all started after Fort Bliss, an Army post in El Paso, Texas, added a lactation room.

Ruby is a former military mom who wanted to show her support for women who juggle military life and motherhood.

"I was active duty a long time ago when support for breastfeeding moms wasn't even an option or a consideration. We have come so far," Ruby said in a Facebook post.

She added via Facebook: "Breastfeeding their babies doesn't make them less of a soldier, I believe it makes them a better one."

But not everyone is happy with the picture as some on social media called it "unprofessional." A majority of the comments, however, have been supportive.
