OC Pawn Shop Tip Led Police To $30K In Stolen Items From TSA Agent
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police said on Friday they have recovered over $30,000 worth of stolen goods in the arrest of an LAX baggage screener.
Paul Yashou, 37, worked for the Transportation Security Administration in the lobby of Terminal One at LAX for nearly nine years before his arrest on Thursday.
He is accused of stealing items from passenger luggage and taking it home — sometimes even for a profit.
KNX 1070's John Brooks reports a tip from a pawn shop in Irvine led police to Yashou and the stolen items.

Yashou is being held on felony burglary charges.
His arrest comes over one month after another TSA officer was busted for allegedly stealing items from a traveler's suitcase at Terminal 6 at the nation's second-busiest airport.
