New Program Helps Type 2 Diabetes Management

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Award-winning Actress S. Epahta Merkerson visited the KCAL9 studios to talk about the America's Diabetes Challenge: Get to Your Goals program and how it helps people with type 2 diabetes.

Merkerson is partnering with Merck on the America's Diabetes Challenge: Get to Your Goals program to encourage people living with type 2 diabetes to know the importance of their A1C – an estimate of average blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months – and to talk to their doctor about setting and reaching their own A1C goal.
