Michelle Obama To Appear At The Women's Conference

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The first ladies of California and the country are coming together.

State first lady Maria Shriver says Michelle Obama will appear at Shriver's annual Women's Conference in Long Beach, Calif., later this month.

Obama will speak during the conference's "Main Event" on Oct. 26 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Other speakers that day include Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey and former first lady Laura Bush.

Obama previously appeared at the Women's Conference in 2007, alongside other spouses of 2008 presidential candidates.

Shriver says she's eager to hear Obama share how her life has changed since then.

Obama's appearance and other "Main Event" programs will be streamed live online.
