Man Killed In Deputy-Involved Shooting In Lancaster
LANCASTER (CBS) — An investigation Sunday was under way into the circumstances surrounding a fatal deputy-involved shooting in Lancaster.

The incident, which claimed the life of a young man, occurred just before 11 p.m. Saturday near the corner of 10th Street West and West Avenue J-4.
Coroner's officials have not released the name of the man killed, but family and friends at the scene identified him as Christian Cobian.
Those who knew Cobian told CBS2 that he was 26 years old and lived a couple of blocks away from the scene. According to them, he had just asked family members for a ride, but then took off.
Deputies tell CBS2 that they spotted him on his bicycle and tried to pull him over for a traffic violation.
According to deputies, the man did not stop but got off his bicycle and started running.
The Sheriff's Department says deputies opened fire after they saw the man reach for his waistband.
Late Sunday, Sheriff's deputies said Cobian threatened them and that he had three felony convictions on his record and he was wanted on a no-bail narcotics warrant in Inglewood.
Parker referred to Cobian as a known gang member "who had recently moved to Lancaster."
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters Sunday that no gun or weapon was recovered at the scene.
