Man Climbs 100 Feet Up KTLA Tower To Make Political Statement
HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A man who climbed 100 feet up the KTLA Tower at Channel 5 studios was placed on a mental health hold by Los Angeles police Tuesday night.
The man, whose name was not released, began climbing the tower at about 8:25 p.m., according to LAPD spokesperson Officer Rosario Herrera.
He was talked into surrendering by police officers at about 9:25 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Matt Spence said.
The man was reportedly trying to make a political statement.
