Man Allegedly Robs 99-Cent Store, Hides For Hours
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A man who allegedly held up a 99-Cent store in Long Beach was arrested after hiding from authorities for nearly four hours.
The armed robbery happened around 3:20 p.m. in the 5500 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to Sgt. Aaron Eaton of the Long Beach Police Department.
The suspect reportedly stole four bottles of orange juice and pulled a gun on a security guard before fleeing the store.
Police found the suspect barricaded under a trailer in the backyard of a home at around 6:50 p.m.
A weapon was found in the area.
