Long Beach Woman's Unique Way Of Announcing Her New Love To World Goes Viral
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A Long Beach woman has been generating a lot of buzz on social media for her unique way of announcing her new love to the world.
Benita Abraham made her big announcement on Facebook.
She wrote in her post: "After 7 long months, I found the perfect job with a company that truly cares about its employees and one I will learn so much from. I finally found my soulmate, my perfect match, my boo."
Abraham said she was so fired up she could not contain herself. "I was trying so hard to keep calm and not scream and be super excited."
She said her friends suggested a photoshoot. "You should do this photoshoot like how all these people are doing their engagement sessions and maternity pictures and first birthdays," Abraham added.
Abraham said just like finding the perfect mate, she wanted to share her excitement about finding her perfect job.
"I just think there are so many other things to celebrate, and I just think it should be done," she said. "I think academics. I think career growth. If your whole idea is to retire at 35 and do nothing but travel, you should absolutely celebrate that."
Abraham has been on the job for two days and has been overwhelmed by the support she has received online.
"I've had people tell me how hilarious it was. It really made their day, and that makes my day," she added.
But she also got a lot of criticism as well. "You know it's negative. All you can do is laugh. My sister called, and she was like: 'Girl! You've some haters. Now, you know you made.'," Abraham recalled.
She was laid off from her health-care administration job in December.
