LAPD searching for hit-and-run driver who severely injured pedestrian in Koreatown in December

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian in Koreatown back in December 2024 and left him with severe injuries.

The crash happened at around 2:35 p.m. on Dec. 22 near Catalina Street and Wilshire Boulevard, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Instead of stopping to help the victim, only identified as a 29-year-old man, the driver continued to flee from the area. Video shows the moments that the man tries to evade the car as he crosses the street.

In hopes of generating leads and locating the driver, police have released a brief video of the crash on their YouTube channel

As with all hit-and-run crashes causing injury in Los Angeles, city officials have offered a standing reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the alleged hit-and-run driver.

Anyone who knows more is urged to contact detectives at (213) 473-0238.
