Palmdale Teacher Arrested In Molestion Of Student With Special Needs
PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — A teacher has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a 17-year-old student with special needs at a Palmdale high school.
Aaron Alvidrez, 28, a teacher at Highland High School, was charged Tuesday with multiple felony counts of committing sodomy on a minor, oral copulation on a minor and meeting a minor for the purposed of committing a lewd act, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
The student told school officials Monday that Alvidrez had assaulted him several times in September.
"The assaults took place inside a classroom at Highland High School and inside the teacher's vehicle," Sgt. Brian Hudson said.
Hudson added that Alvidrez was a long-term substitute teacher at the school and that the victim was enrolled in a special-needs program there.
After an investigation, Alvidrez was arrested at a home in Lancaster.
He was being held on $325,000 bond.
