Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 22)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Temperatures will continue running below average Friday due to a marine layer that has descended on valley areas.

Look for daytime highs in the upper 70s and low 80s in the basin.  Valleys should hover near or just below 90 degrees.

We will warm it up over the weekend as the high pressure ridge nudges back to the west.

Also, look for some tropical moisture to surge up from the south, giving us a slight chance for a mountain or desert thunderstorm. It also may feel a little stickier with higher humidity.

Coastal - mid 70s
Basin - low to mid 80s
Valleys - low 90s
Mountains - upper 70s
Deserts - upper 90s
