Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (January 9)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — It will be a chilly start for some of our valley locations Monday morning. The radiational cooling under clear skies is bringing temperatures down into the 30s.

However, our daytime highs will be a tad bit warmer than Sunday. We have high pressure building in behind the low that moved through over the weekend.

We will also see the winds diminish. Just look for breezy conditions through the morning. Otherwise, it's going to be quite nice with above-average temperatures.

It will be another cold one overnight tonight. The on-shore flow strengthens Tuesday as a cut-off low approaches the area.

That will cool us off a bit for Tuesday and Wednesday, but it looks like that low is going to take its sweet time moving to the West Coast. In fact, we will probably see the marine layer reform.

Beaches - low 70s
Basin - low to mid 70s
Valleys - mid 70s
Deserts - mid 60s
Mountains - low 50s
