Is Adele Re-Emerging With New Single? Reports Indicate She Might Be

(CBSLA.com) — A 30-second clip that the BBC says appeared during a commercial break of the "X Factor" in the UK has many now wondering whether the clip was a preview of Adele's next single.

In the clip, a woman's voice is heard singing: "Hello, it's me. I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet to go over everything."

The clip continues: "They say that time's supposed to heal ya but I ain't done much healing … "

There's no confirmation that the clip is Adele's next single, nor that her voice is heard on the recording.

But, the BBC says that after the clip aired, One Republic tweeted: "Adele."

In May 2014, there was some speculation that the Grammy-award winner had hinted at her next album via an Instagram post. Adele's last release was "Skyfall" in 2012.
