Therapy animals are just what the doctor ordered!

At Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, therapy pets play an important role. Healing the whole person -- body, mind and spirit -- is an integral part of what Dignity Health does every day, and the pet therapy program has made a significant difference in this mission.

Both the staff and patients benefit from having a visit from the certified therapy mini horses (trained and supervised by Happiness on 4 Hooves), and the certified therapy dogs (trained and supervised by the lnland Empire Therapy Dogs). During some of the hardest days for patients and staff, these furry friends help bring a smile and some joy.
