Help Needed To ID Armed Men Who Robbed Koreatown Jewelry Store

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday asked for the public's help in identifying three men who robbed a Koreatown jewelry store at gunpoint.

The robbery happened about 10:10 a.m. Monday at Hankook Plaza, 3130 Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles police said.

Police say the suspects entered the jewelry store, and one took out a handgun and held the employees at gunpoint. A second suspect jumped over the display counters and removed thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry. The third suspect held a security guard at gunpoint when he attempted to intervene, police said.

The suspects ran out of the plaza and fled in a silver or gray Chrysler Pacifica with a paper plate.

The store was not identified by police, but a jewelry shop with the same address is listed online as Lee Bu.

All three suspects were described as black men. The first suspect was described as six feet tall and 170 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect is also six feet tall, about 165 pounds, and was wearing dark clothes and a dark beanie. The third suspect wore a mask, a gray hoodie over a dark sweatshirt and blue pants.
