HazMat Crews Respond To Chemical Spill In Northridge Building
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Paramedics treated several patients Monday after a small spill of an unidentified substance at a Northridge office building, authorities said.
Officials were called to the Metronics building along the 18000 block of Devonshire Street around 1:40 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Erik Scott.
A small amount of an unknown substance spilled in a two-story industrial building, according to Scott. The entire building was evacuated.
More than a dozen people were evaluated for non-life threatening complaints, but were believed to be in "minor distress," Scott said.
