Gunshots Into Car In Quiet San Clemente Under Investigation
SAN CLEMENTE (CBSLA.com) — An early morning shooting into a car in a quiet area of San Clemente is under investigation, an Orange County sheriff's lieutenant said.
The attack was reported at about 12:10 a.m. in an alley between Calle Canasta and Calle Campana, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Downing said.
The car windows were shot out, and at least one person was cut by flying glass, but there were no serious injuries, he said.
The people in the car drove to a nearby 76 gas station to report the shooting.
A motive for the shooting was not known. Downing said he didn't know if the shooting was gang related.
No suspect information was immediately available.
