Gunman shoots victim in the leg during robbery in Culver City
A robbery victim was shot in the leg when a pair of suspects stole his bag from him in Culver City on Saturday, police say.
It happened at around 3:40 a.m. in the 5900 block of Wrightcrest Drive, according to the Culver City Police Department.
Investigators learned that the victim, who was parked inside of his car on the east side of Wrightcrest Drive, was approached by two men who opened his car doors and demanded his bag.
One of the two suspects opened fire, striking the victim in the leg. The second suspect took the bag and both ran, police said. It is believed that they fled in a black four-door sedan.
The victim was hospitalized for treatment on their gunshot wound. He was not identified.
