Gov. Jerry Brown Among Speakers At Milken Institute's Global Conference
BEVERLY HILLS (AP) — Some 3,000 economic, political and academic leaders are gathering in Beverly Hills for the Milken Institute's annual Global Conference to discuss the state of world affairs, health, education, media and other topics.
The conference, which has been held annually for the past 14 years by the Santa Monica-based think tank, is scheduled to get under way Monday morning at the Beverly Hilton and continue over the next three days.
Among the scores of the event's speakers and panelists this year are Craig Barrett, retired chairman and chief executive of Intel Corp.; Barry Diller, chairman and senior executive of IAC; T. Boone Pickens, entrepreneur and philanthropist, and California Gov. Jerry Brown.
The conference also attracts attendees from governments around the world.
