Friends, Family Remember Chino Hills Woman Killed In Isla Vista Shooting
CHINO HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Family and friends of the Chino Hills woman killed in last month's Isla Vista shooting rampage gathered Monday to say a final goodbye.
UC Santa Barbara student Katie Cooper is being remembered fondly by those who knew her best, including her sorority sisters, who investigators believe were targeted by 22-year-old gunman Elliot Roger.

CBS2's Tom Wait reports one of the words frequently used to describe the 22-year-old was "adorkable" - a term her family and friends loved to use.
Loved ones say she lit up the word with a smile, was outgoing and humble, and someone who cared so much about people.
Cooper's aunt spoke at the beginning of the service to remember the young woman that she was.
"She was a kind of person who would spot somebody sitting alone in the school dance and would walk up to that person and ask them to dance with her," she said.
"While at college she gave her bike to a friend and was happy to walk to school knowing her friend would get to class on time. And when she was stressed during finals she would bake cookies and take them to friends because she thought they might be struggling, too."
Cooper was weeks away from graduating from UCSB before she was killed when Roger went on a shooting spree through Isla Vista on May 23.
Her father, Dan, has said his daughter was escorting two of her sorority sisters home so that they didn't have to walk alone when she and Veronika Weiss were gunned down.
UCSB student Chris Martinez was also fatally shot near campus before Roger apparently killed himself, according to The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office. Three others, George Chen, James Cheng and David Wang, were later found stabbed to death Rodger's own apartment. Thirteen others were injured in the attack, investigators said.
Cooper's family members say they are launching a scholarship in her honor to help others in the light of the tragedy.
