"He has not been in contact with his family and he has also missed his school and work obligation, which is very out of character for him," Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department said. "His family is extremely concerned for his well-being."

Martynov is of Russian descent. He's blonde with gray eyes. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 175 pounds.

Martynov has a birthmark on his right hand and another birthmark on his left cheek, and he was last seen wearing a black jacket and black shoes. He is known to frequent the areas of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Santa Monica College.

Police urged anyone with information regarding Martynov's whereabouts to contact LAPD Missing Persons Unit detectives at (213) 996-1800 or (877) LAPD-24-7.
