FedEx, Amazon Warn About Text Message Scam
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — FedEx and Amazon are warning customers about a nationwide scheme involving text messages.
It's disguised as a tracking code for a package that's going to be delivered.
There's a link, and if users click on it, it takes them to a website where hackers gain access to private information including a credit card number.
FedEx says it never sends unsolicited texts or emails to customers.
